Welcome

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sam Ratulangi (UNSRAT) Manado, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Environment and Information Sciences, Yokohama National University (YNU), Japan, the Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, FMIPA Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (UNDIKSHA), Universitas Udayana (UNUD), Universitas Mataram (UNRAM), Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Universitas Cenderawasih (UNCEN) Jayapura, Faculty of Biology, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) Salatiga, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG), and supported by the Indonesian Network of Higher Educations of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPAnet), is pleased to welcome you to the 3rd International Conference On Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Applications, Research, and Technology (ICON-SMART). This year, the conference will be held as a hybrid conference, by which attendees can attend the conference virtually from anywhere or opt to visit the physical venue at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Kuta, Bali, on 3-4 June 2022.
ICON-SMART is an annual event. It provides a platform to researchers, academicians, professionals, educators, and industries to share and generate interests in cutting-edge research, applications, education, and technology in the related areas of the theme:
Mathematical Physics and Biotechnology for Education, Energy Efficiency, and Marine Industries.

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted conventional education systems, has caused great challenges to the energy industry, and has emphasized the importance of food security. As a maritime country, the latter points to the need for strengthening marine industries. Therefore, this year conference will concentrate on three important aspects namely, education, energy efficiency, and marine industries. The theme of the conference was chosen in conjunction with these three important aspects from mathematical physics and biotechnology points of view. The Covid-19 recovery process after the pandemic demands suitable and better models, systems, materials, and tools for teaching, learning, and research, more alternatives of renewable energy sources, and more productive and environmentally friendly marine industries.
During ICON SMART 2022, as a parallel event, there will be an annual meeting of deans of mathematics science and sciences who are members of MIPAnet Indonesia and Majlis Dekan Sains dan Matematik, Malaysia.
There also will be on-site parallel events, which are free for ICON SMART participants, namely  Workshop  "Arduino-based Experiments in Science Education Research" by Prince of Songkla University, Thailand, and Workshop "Optimization Using Graphs" by Yokohama National University, Japan.
So, please join us in Bali for what promises to be a wonderful learning and networking experience!
